How do we set up a subscription form for our website?

Supporters can subscribe to receive text messages from your organization on a subscription form on your website. The subscription form is a simple embed code that can be easily embedded on any website.

To get to the Subscription form, go into a campaign and select the Subscription Form on the left.

On the next screen, customize your form. The top of the page provides an example of what the form will look like for your site. Under the form example are the items you can customize:

Items to personalize:

  1. Frequency: You can state the number of text messages the subscriber will expect to get from your organization with a number (1-4) and timeframe (per Day, per Week, per Month).
    • Carriers require an estimated frequency be included in the call to action.
  2. Message: this is the customizable message for the widget to let your subscribers know what they will get, what kinds of messages they will receive, when they subscribe.
  3. Logo: Add your organization logo to the form.  The logo should have a transparent background, 225 pixels by 120 pixels, and be either a PNG or GIF image type.
  4. Orientation: The default layout of the form is Vertical. There are three layouts you can use for your widget:
    • Horizontal: This more square layout has a width of 415 pixels, suitable for any display.

    • Vertical: This tall orientation, with a width of 265 pixels, allows you to fit the Subscription widget into the side of your page, like in a sidebar.

    • Slimline: This minimalist form just shows a line for your subscriber's name and number:

      • When they click submit, the message of the subscription appears that they can click on to confirm their subscription.
  5. Background: This widget has the option of a grey or a white background. It defaults to white.

To embed the form on your website, simply cut and paste the embed code into the backend of your website. If you need technical support please contact your webmaster, or MobileCause Support for assistance.

Suggestion: When you have the form embedded on your site, test the subscription form by entering your mobile number. You should receive an immediate text message confirmation of your subscription.
