How can I add help text to input field for user?

Syed Masood Mar 30, 2018 03:23PM PDT

I am trying to add help text for users. Trying to recreate similar UX; see sample input field labeled "How many tickets would you like to purchase?"
on the following form
https://app.mobilecause.com/form/oWXftg

Input fields don't have an option to add help text? How was this achieved?

The example you’re showing is using the limits optional feature. This provides automated and customizable text in the limits features.

We don’t have a descriptor box or help text associated with the different Custom Fields to do exactly the same thing for other situations.

To do something similar, you would have to put in a Custom Message and then the Input Box. The label for the Input Box will still be displayed., so to have the same “feel” you could have the Custom Field be the italic line “Buy your tickets fast before they run out!” and then the Input Box would still be “How many tickets would you like to purchase?”

I understand the desire, though. and while the above will be similar, it’s not exactly the same. Your request/question makes sense, though. I can see the usage. I’ll forward this over to our development team to consider.
